I believe I am very good at getting emphasis on projects in the right places. I take great care in reading material thoroughly before recording to ensure that I get the full gist of the meaning. I can produce a variety of tones for voice overs: warm, deep tones for narrations, light and lively for ads and smooth, (clipped if necessary), business-like tones for business and professional presentations. I can do some regional dialects. I am from the south of England but do not have a pronounced regional accent. I have worked in offices for many years and have always been complimented on my phone voice.

My Voice Experience

I have wide experience in amateur dramatics, where I have played a variety of different roles. I have just finished recording the first part of a voice-over for a DVD about country crafts for an agricultural museum in East Kent, which is in process of production. I have also undertaken voice acting for a radio play for a student at Christ Church University.

My Training

I have learned how to use my voice in different ways by participating in amateur dramatics, answering the telephone in a work situation, where the first contact people have, and therefore impression of the organisation, is the person on the phone.
